I feel like a horrible daughter and daughter-in-law for not remembering our children's wonderful grandparents yesterday. Our kids are so blessed to have grandparents that love them so much. It is really neat how each one is so different and brings such a unique aspect to our lives.
Nanny, where do I begin with you? Not the typical grandma to say the least. You add sparkle (literally) to us. How many times have the kids starred at you and your bling and flash in amazement? How cool it must be to have a grandma who drives a convertible and wears hot designer shoes. Not only do you liven up the party, but your heart for us is amazing. We know you will do what you can to help us and be there for us. Thanks for all the times you've helped us during a stomach virus, pneumonia, and doctor's visits. We love you.
Nee, the kids love spending time with you! You are always so much fun. You give them a chance to experience life in a different way than they do at home. They love going fishing with you, riding on the boat or 4 wheeler, and being plain silly. Sarah Elizabeth usually laughs so hard around you she ends up with hiccups. We don't get to see enough of you because of your work and our busy schedule. Thank you for all you do for them and us! We love you!
Di. I don't even know where to start. Talk about devotion! You are always more than willing to drop whatever to be here for a school play, ballgames, or just because. I will never forget how you came up several times at night when Sophie was a baby just so Scott and I could get some much needed sleep. You are such an important part of their lives. Thanks for the many prayers you send up for our family, we feel them. By the way, you have great fashion sense too for a grandma. We love you!
Papa, patience personified. You are the kindest, most patient man. The children love teasing papa. The girls love to run from him so he will pick them up and spin them around. Spencer loves to just hang out with papa and feed the fish or ride on the mule (not the animal kind). Thanks for always knowing how to fix things when you visit, like the mailbox that turned out to be an all afternoon project, or the toilet that broke right in the middle of a party. I could go on and on how you always help and never complain. Thank you! We love you!
And there is also Nanny's husband Bo, and Nee's wife Jaynice. We are so glad you're part of our family. The kids love you too!
